About Us

Specialists in natural and wild produce

Hampshire Game Limited was established at Clanville, near Andover in Hampshire, in 1977. Situated in the heart of Southern England, the company is in an ideal geographical position to collect, process and distribute Game shot on the estates and surrounding counties.

Hampshire Game Limited has developed a smoothly efficient processing system together with rapid despatch to a wide range of customers, from wholesalers to retail chains, throughout the United Kingdom and Europe.

Shipping and distribution overseas is handled with a speed equal to that of its despatch in refrigerated vans to all destinations in the United Kingdom. For instance, pheasants shot on a Saturday can be in the markets of France, Germany or the Netherlands the following Monday morning.

Hampshire Game Limited is one of the largest purchasers, processors, distributors and exporters of Game in Southern England. An additional farm in West Sussex support the main operation in Clanville and manages the distribution of Game to farmers markets throughout the South.

Having invested heavily in buildings and capital equipment, Hampshire Game Limited's establishment now includes separate departments for fur and feather, facilities for veterinary inspection, ample storage for chilling and freezing the large tonnage of Game handled, modern weighing and packing rooms.

The premises comply with the government regulations and Clanville was the first such concern in Southern England to have been given an Approved Establishment number (8297) by the Ministry of Agriculture Fisheries and Food, in accordance with EEC Regulations.

Hampshire Game Limited deal with all aspects of the Game trade. Buying shot Game from the major shoots throughout Southern England. Selling fresh and frozen Game to wholesalers and retail outlets throughout the UK and Europe.

Clients are able to purchase live Game including day old chicks and poults ready for release.

Where does our Game come from?

Hampshire Game Limited collect from many local shoots in the South of England which all have to follow the Code of Good Shooting Practice.

Stalkers and Hunters from the South bring their Game to us. All hunters and stalkers are trained to FSA recognised standards.

Long-standing arrangements with the organisers of the major shoots enable the company to select and collect the Game as soon as possible after it has been killed.
